Fool

blind to truth
resign yourself to your addiction
the pain of it all
so familiar
nothing else craves normality
unending sorrow, your sweet reality
what a fool to continue dreaming.

they say they love you
to keep you.
you search
for whomever you are
forever carelessly lost.

Buddha says,” you permit it.”
Buddha says, “detach yourself.”
Buddha says,”Illusion.”
but, my higher self is much too forgiving
and the traitor within me was taught all too well

obedient and most faithful student
i just may never learn
